Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. Travel north through the scenic Kenyan highlands, crossing the equator before arriving at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch.
After checking into your lodge and enjoying lunch, head out on an afternoon game drive. Samburu is famous for its rare wildlife species, often called the "Samburu Special Five," including the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives.
The reserve is home to elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and over 450 bird species. The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts wildlife throughout the year, providing excellent opportunities for photography and game viewing.
Optional visits to a local Samburu village can be arranged to experience traditional culture and customs.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart Samburu and journey south through Kenya's beautiful countryside toward Lake Nakuru National Park.
Arrive in time for lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive.
Lake Nakuru is renowned for its thriving populations of both black and white rhinos. You may also encounter lions, leopards, Rothschild's giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, waterbucks, and numerous bird species including pelicans and flamingos when conditions are favorable.
Enjoy an early morning game drive, the perfect time to spot predators before returning to the lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast, check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon where your safari concludes.
