Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and begin your journey դեպի the Ndutu area, located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes you through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and into the vast plains where the wildebeest migration gathers during the calving season. As you approach Ndutu, you will already start spotting wildlife such as zebras, wildebeests, and predators like lions and cheetahs. After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu plains, one of the best places in Africa to witness the wildebeest calving season. During this time, thousands of calves are born daily, attracting numerous predators such as lions, hyenas, and leopards, making for dramatic wildlife encounters. Your guide will take you to the best locations to witness these natural events, while also spotting other animals like giraffes, elephants, and various bird species. The open plains offer excellent visibility, perfect for photography and observing animal behavior. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the sounds of nature before continuing your afternoon exploration.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive when predators are most active. This is an excellent opportunity to witness hunting behavior or catch sight of newborn wildebeest taking their first steps. You may also visit Lake Ndutu, a seasonal alkaline lake that attracts flamingos and other birdlife, as well as a variety of animals coming to drink. After the morning activities, return to your lodge for lunch or continue with a half-day game drive depending on your schedule. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing at the camp while enjoying the stunning surroundings or continuing to explore the nearby plains.

After breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Arusha with a final game drive en route, taking in the last sights of the Ndutu plains and its incredible wildlife. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Ndutu calving season safari experience.
